Often times the position required quick and wise decision making that was often followed by commentary from the peanut gallery, who were unwilling to be involved in the action planning process, but very willing to critique and observe afterwards. Woowee was that stressful!
I’ll admit the opinions of others did sway me to second guess myself and my decisions sometimes, but remembering to rely on my personal resources and inner strength got me through those tough times. Although I pushed myself to be super human in that role, the support and love from friends and family kept me grounded and focused on simply doing my best.
